Is there a map of the course for 2007...is it the same as years before?
Can we mail in entries, or is it SE online only?
Are you going to order in some nasty weather?
Thanks!

Brian,
Hopefully the Saturn guys will chime in on this.
If the course is the same as last year, here's the 2006 recon report from current Two Wheel Tango team member, Ian Lockley:
----------------------------------------
I rode 3 laps of the Cone course on Saturday (ED: This is Ian's report from 2006!). If anyone’s interested here’s what I found:
Platt Road:
Most dangerous part is as you cross the tracks on Platt heading into the first dirt section. Do not go right as this is where all the big potholes are. This is where I broke my rear wheel last year. Some have been filled but it’s still pretty bad. The best line is in the middle, which also gives you some escape options. This is the worst section of the whole course. There are good lines on the right and the middle after the first part. I had a tailwind on Saturday and was flying along.
The bridge is dodgy crossing Hickory plus the road is pretty bad crossing Welch. If you keep you eyes open its okay.
Petersburg Road:
Right hander onto Petersburg is dodgy plus there are 2 gravel sections. This is the most likely place you’ll get a flat if anyone is thinking of leaving some wheels on the course. The first is the worse and you just have to ride through them. The line on the left hand side of the road is the best.
Welch Road:
There’s a good line if you stay right all the way except for a little section near the end. This is where I reckon the race will break as it’s slightly uphill and there will be 2 single file lines.
Hope this helps. I really enjoyed riding it on my steel Marinoni with 23mm Tom Slick Fortresses. I had no problems with flats. I hope to ride the course again before the race.
I have one question for the promoters. There are 2 railway crossings per lap with barriers: Is our policy on these the same as in Paris Roubaix?

| A friend who drove a pace vehicle last year asked me about doing the same this year. Anyone know who is in charge of volunteers for Cone? |

The course that Joe posted is our intented course for the race. There are a couple of bad potholes on the paved roads. We are working to find cold patch to fill the holes.
Dave Komives is our volunteer coordinator. If anyone would like to help out please feel free to contact Dave at dpkomives@roadrunner.com |
